RDGTC - S4: Valencia

Hi all,

Here's the necessary information you will need for the race coming very soon. I hope you all do well and come back with some great results. I'm currently still working on exams and getting us a temporary TS, getting close now

Weather: Dry conditions

Practice: On race day the servers will be open all day to practice
Super Pole Qualification: 18.35 GMT (10 minutes)
Warm-up: 18:45 GMT (15 minutes)
Race: 19:00 GMT (Formation Lap + 90 minute race)

Specific rules:
Super Pole Qualification: All drivers must do an outlap, hotlap and inlap during their session. You are not allowed to leave and rejoin the server to have a second attempt. If your connection drops during super pole you are allowed to rejoin the server but you stay in the pitbox for the rest of the session.
The race start will be a single file formation lap. The race leader remains a speed of 100 km/h (60 mph) during the formation lap and the rest of the field follows without swaying. If you spin during the formation lap you follow the field in last position. The race starts when the leader accelerates out of the final corner. Overtaking before the start/finish line is not allowed.
Please be extra careful in the first sector of the formation and first race lap. Avoidable incidents in the first sector of the first lap of the race will be penalized with a standard 60 second penalty or more depending on the circumstances!
Cutting the track is not allowed at any time. Two wheels of the car always need to be within the white lines that mark the boundary of the track!

I finally purchased the GT pack and got a time of 1:58:277. This was with the default setup and I'm sure I will be much better with a setup

So its possible we will see u in mondays race?

As Philip has not got his wheel yet, I'm most likely to be joining you guys tomorrow Firstly we need to have a meeting either today or tomorrow on some sort of setup that all of us can download and get used to by doing a few laps.

now i have RACE club event and later midday we could do some practice, ill pm you in steam later.

Ok Reinis, sounds good. I will probably be on steam all day on Race 07 practicing anyway

for Valencia there is Ive Larose setup online that could be good.
I started from that setup and changed little and feel good for my race tomorrow

After a long 2 hours of practicing with Maco and Reinis, I managed a P.B of 1.56.7xx. I'm looking forward to the race tomorrow

I've been driving F1 all weekend, need to get up to speed tomorrow.

In sundays practice i managed to get 1.56.9 with huge jump from 1.57.6 so i`m looking forward for mondays practice as i`m sure and confident in myself that i will beat my pb at least for more 0.300 sec

i think that this time we could be very fast.
But Reinis drive with head.If you drive in Valencia without mistakes, you'll arrive in first 3 positions :-)
For Matthew try to write in forum and ask to drive like guest racer :-)

Mistake from my last post my time from yesterday was not 1.56.7xx it was 1.56.176

Update 13:29PM: Bram has approved that I can race with you tonight under Philips name and skin.

I'm very sorry guys. I'm too tired for the race tonight and therefore will not participate. I have to travel to Wales in the UK tomorrow and its going to take 4 hours so I need my sleep. I thought I could make it but now its a no.

4h on the road is relaxing.. once i was traveling to the Wales 7h (destination was Bristol but i fell asleep) and i enjoyed it

Valencia Long RDGTC

Actualy didnt have the will to battle for todays race (dont know why) but qualification went ok.. better then i expected. qualified 7th and after me 8th daggy and 9th marco, so it kinda looked nice in prep lap 3 cars from same team in a row . Race started quietly, in second or 3rd lap i overtook others and was 4th.. then someone form front of the pack disconnected and i was 3rd.. yeey - podium BUT that was not for long time. Guys where chasing after me lost 3rd position in last corners(spmall spin as tires were hot and 50% used). I did 1pit strategy after what i was 12th but i regained my position fast.. this time someone had shorter pit time and i lost my 4th position. So rest of the race i had car in front of me that was faster and 30secs behind me.. took long, calm race to the finish line (almoust) about 20 metters before finish line my car was without fuel and i managed to get to finish line without my engine

what was that bug?
before last lap 1st place was about 2sec behind me

i don't know, but after Bob overtake me, i lost other cars. I drive for 2/3 laps all alone, and every time in the same place where Bob overtake me, blue flag for me :-(
I don't know, but i'm very sad. 6th for me was like 1th for others :-(

Still though, a fantastic race from everyone I'm very pleased.

It was a beatiful looking grid with all 3 cars lined up together!

It was a very good race until the last 10 laps, were I was totally on my own, and making many mistakes.
But I am satisfied with my place. Monza will be tricky I think, the tires will in any case wear less there, so that is a good thing.

Sorry for not being on the forums all, I have been on holiday for 5 days. Great photograph, and nice line up too
