Post  Matthew Weston Sun Jun 05, 2011 1:38 pm

    Hi all,

I'm very sorry for not posting this any sooner, as you may be aware I have been on holiday and have only just come back. I'm trying to catchup with a lot of things and have only come around to post this just now. Anyway here is all the information you will need for Monday.

    Best of luck
    -M

    Date: Monday June 6, 2011
    Track: Monza 07
    Weather: Dry conditions
Practice: On race day the servers will be open all day to practice
Super Pole Qualification: 18.35 GMT (10 minutes)
    Warm-up: 18:45 GMT (15 minutes)
Race: 19:00 GMT (Formation Lap + 90 minute race)
    Password: Over at RD
    Rules: Over at RD

    Specific rules:
Super Pole Qualification: All drivers must do an outlap, hotlap and inlap during their session. You are not allowed to leave and rejoin the server to have a second attempt. If your connection drops during super pole you are allowed to rejoin the server but you stay in the pitbox for the rest of the session.
The race start will be a single file formation lap. The race leader remains a speed of 100 km/h (60 mph) during the formation lap and the rest of the field follows without swaying. If you spin during the formation lap you follow the field in last position. The race starts when the leader accelerates out of the final corner. Overtaking before the start/finish line is not allowed.
Please be extra careful in the first sector of the formation and first race lap. Avoidable incidents in the first sector of the first lap of the race will be penalized with a standard 60 second penalty or more depending on the circumstances!
Cutting the track is not allowed at any time. Two wheels of the car always need to be within the white lines that mark the boundary of the track!

I feel quite ready, but I'm always looking for setups as I am not good on adjusting all these
settings. Think I have a good race setup, but more unsure about a hot lap setup Smile

1-pit defo.. as noone will have 2 pits.. about tires.. that u can decide in race.. if u have enough gap then u can change tires. thats my opinion

Well, mixed feelings after the race.
My performance today was very good, I was pleased with my laptimes.
But when you finish 7th, like I did, and got 3, I repeat 3 stop/go penalties!
    That is quite something.
I actually think 3rd spot was doable today, but thats racing I guess.

And Marc, I hope I didn't damage your car on lap 18? I think there maybe was the slightest of touches?

Great news guys, though the stop penilties seem to be a problem ATM. How did you get these penilties?

Monza is very simple have penalties for cut turnes. Very restrictive rules

Frapsed a bit of the replay where I and Marco are pretty close. Nice racing, until Marco did a mistake into Roggia.
