RDGTC S4 - Round 1: Nürburgring GP

Date: Monday May 16, 2011
Track: Nürburgring GP
Weather: Dry conditions
Practice: On race day the servers will be open all day to practice
Super Pole Qualification: 18.35 GMT (10 minutes)
Warm-up: 18:45 GMT (15 minutes)
Race: 19:00 GMT (Formation Lap + 90 minute race)


Specific rules:
The race start will be a single file formation lap. The race leader remains a speed of 100 km/h (60 mph) during the formation lap and the rest of the field follows without swaying. If you spin during the formation lap you follow the field in last position. The race starts when the leader accelerates out of the final corner. Overtaking before the start/finish line is not allowed.Please be extra careful in the first sector of the formation and first race lap. Avoidable incidents in the first sector of the first lap of the race will be penalized with a standard 60 second penalty or more depending on the circumstances!Cutting the track is not allowed at any time. Two wheels of the car always need to be within the white lines that mark the boundary of the track!

How is the practice going guys?
For now, I am not capable of doing faster laps than high 2:03's with the setup I got during the pre-quali session.
Does anyone have another setup? With the current setup, I don't use 6th gear, is that effecient?

I`m making my own setup for this track because here you need different settings. Best i had was 2.01.415 but overall i`m driving around 2.02.700 tomorrow will do some final practice and try to make better setup.

Sounds great. I'm still working on getting TS back up for the race, I'm sure it will be but if not then I will post in the TS thread for RDGTC.

By the way all. We are unable to get the TS server back online for the race and therefore will need you guys to create a TC channel in the RD TS server. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Ok thats not a big problem.. actualy your server is not the only one who does not work.. i got some friends with same problem

P.S. my rat did quite heavy damage to my hphones wires so i`m not able to use mic for some time

That we will see.. of course now things are different.. this track is much smaller and many drivers did not have luck with them in nordschleife track, so i expect that this race will be tight. I will do the same race today for training before the real one to see how i can handle that track in long terms and see what situation is with pits.

i tried 30 minutes race.
Used 45 liters of fuel and front tyres about 73%.
I think that i will start not at top, so i'll try 2 pit-stop, tryng to stay more laps possible in track, hoping that tyres work not so bad

I never did formation lap so i hope it will be no pain in the ass for me! if i`m right then when i`m first i start to accelerate in out of last corner and others can start overtake only after crossing start line right?

What can i say... fk.. i want to brake something.. blow up.. AAGHHHH i`m angry..

FKN STEAM.. i hate it.. thats all facts i know that steam lost connection.. how, why dont know but with that my game lost connection to server and my first stage ended before crossing start line!!!

Oh no Oh well, better up next time At least Philip Marco and Erik are still running.

I finished 12 in server 2. Only 1 error when i was fighting for 10 position at 5 minutes at end :-(
But i'm happy!!!!!!!

Forgot to post here after the race,
I had a very enjoyable race after a superpole that went pretty well (6th) on the grid.
Did a couple of mistakes, but pleased with my 9th position.
